This is my first blog and I'm not really sure how to begin. I want this to be a blog explaining how I lost weight by being healthy and totally changing my lifestyle. The reason for the title is that I have already started to lose weight and my wife and I thought that it might be a good idea to share my journey.
I weigh 274 pounds and at my heaviest I weighed 360 pounds. Most (around 50 pounds) of that weight I lost in the past year after my wedding. As any single man my habits were not the best, I smoked about 2 and half packs a week, I ate McDonalds about 5 times a week. When I did eat at home most of the time the food was processed junk food or high calorie, large portion meals that most times I made sure that there wasn't any for left overs.
My only exercise was walking at the YMCA as once a week when working with kids from the youth home I worked at.
Today, not quite to our anniversary my lifestyle has totally changed. We only eat out once a month if not less, I cook most of our meals, always making sure that they are well balanced smaller portioned healthier meals. Also I have not had a cigarette in over a year.
Well with this being my first blog I'm going keep it short, but as I keep going I'm hoping to add how to do exercise on the go, and healthy recipes. I'm also going to talk about diets over lifestyle changes. I would also like to inspire others to lose weight and and lead others to a healthy lifestyle so that all those who read this will like me want to be here for a long time so that we will be here for our families.
